Enclosure is an independently curated, artist-run and funded gallery space in Manchester, UK. The idiosyncratic location required an identity that helped to promote its low-fi, edgy and experimental ethos.
Our final proposal uses bold colour swatches and typography that referenced the many found materials that were cleared from the space prior to opening. This helped instantly create a link between the look and feel of the identity with the actual physical location of the gallery.
Our identity has helped to provide a consistent tone and style to all of the gallery's communications, from letterheads and business cards through to promotional literature and website. The bold colour swatches are also a unique way of labeling new events, exhibitions and actions. Through providing a swatch booklet that can be used to create a new coloured swatch for each new event.
