A closed road was the last venue. It was bitterly cold and we did star jumps to keep warm!

Valentine's Lectures

In February 2008, Ultimate Holding Company hosted a series of four evening quick fire slide show lectures, radically themed and presented in a format which was part charity soup kitchen, part lecture and part 'flash mob'. Topics included public art, public space, culture and consumerism.

The lectures were performed out of a van at several Manchester City Centre locations. Questionnaires were circulated to gather audience responses for our 'A Public of Sorts' research. More lectures are planned in 2008/9, with UHC developing a more mobile pole-mounted projector.

Participants this time included representatives from local skateboarding and cycling groups, designers, architects and artists Eva Merz, Simon Poulter, Jay Yung and Ange Taggart.
