Recipe Cards

These cards were created for the award winning 'low water' garden, designed by artists' group Metal and Southend Borough Council for the Hampton Court Flower Show in 2008. The cards accompany the table built by UHC as the centre piece of the garden.

The initial brief was to create a brochure for the garden and the final design resulted in this set of twelve cards, using the shape of a plant information card. They contain six food recipes using low water garden plants, carefully selected by six different artists working with Metal. They also contain key information about the garden, the collaborators and the Water Table.

The cards were printed with a new process that doesn't use any water and is therefore more environmentally friendly. This production method was especially chosen to fit the low water theme of the garden.
