UHC's creative director Jai Redman was artist in residence at the School of Geography, University of Leeds during 2009.
Working with geographers from the research cluster 'Urban Cultures and Consumption' as well as campaigners from the 'Leeds, Love it, Share It' network, the residency focused on propagandizing new creative, grassroots alternatives to neoliberal enclosure of cities.
The residency was funded by the Leverhulme Trust and concluded on October 24th with the public launch of the Leeds Plan B manifesto - a 13 point sustainability plan for the city, devised during the residency. The plan has been hand printed onto hundreds of bags of compost which will be given out for free in the city centre.
