Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1992 s.241

Intimidation or annoyance by violence or otherwise.

You are guilty of this offence if you try an intimidate someone into stopping their work.

You have to have either:

1) Used violence or threatened a person or their familiy
2) Damaged their property.
3) Hidden or deprived a person of their tool, clothes or property, or hindered their use.
4) Stalked a person through the streets.

This is an arrestable offence with a maximum sentence of 6 months prison.

This law was exploited by the police at the Newbury bypass campaign on many occasions, though it is rarely quoted in most circumstances, being a relatively obscure labour relations law - most coppers don't know about it.
