You are guilty of this offence if you try an intimidate someone into stopping
their work.
You have to have either:
1) Used violence or threatened a person or their familiy
2) Damaged their property.
3) Hidden or deprived a person of their tool, clothes or property, or hindered
their use.
4) Stalked a person through the streets.
This is an arrestable offence with a maximum sentence of 6 months prison.
This law was exploited by the police at the Newbury bypass campaign on many occasions, though it is rarely quoted in most circumstances, being a relatively obscure labour relations law - most coppers don't know about it.
